Joshua Kamp is the Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer at U.S. Embassy Dhaka where he oversees cultural outreach centers and community engagement. Joshua joined the Foreign Service in 2015 and recently served at Embassy Beijing.

From 2006 to 2015, Joshua worked in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Office of Press and Public Diplomacy in Washington. As the Cultural Coordinator there, he oversaw exchange programming and public diplomacy planning across thirteen countries. Josh joined the Department of State as a Presidential Management Fellow.

Josh earned a master’s degree from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo.

Josh speaks Bengali, Chinese, and Swedish. He is a native of upstate New York and an avid beekeeper.
